A beautiful Napoleon III gilt metal and glass panelled jewellery casket, of ovoid form with rectangulated foliate scroll panel edges set with red cut glass jewels, on four acanthus bracket feet. The interior presents a button cushioned velvet. The casket was made in France towards the end of the 19th century.
